Shock pool

The idea of the shock pool is borrowed from the northern peoples and their famous winter thermotherapy. The temperature in the shock pool is usually lower than that of the swimming pools (about 7 °C), and the aim is one to dive into the cold water as soon as he/she comes out of the hot sauna or ends up with exhausting power workout. The advantages of this rapid change in temperature are the overall hardening of the body, particularly the cardiovascular and nervous systems. For practitioners, this means that the muscles that are exhausted during exercise are shrinking, and this helps for their recovery and healing.
