Power Plate is a vibration-based training device. The technology uses a vibrating platform that moves from 25 to 50 times per second, resulting in activation of all major muscle groups. Vibration is harmonious and consistent, and the device moves in 3 directions – up and down, forward and back and sideways.
Vibration stimulates the muscles to contract and relax more often than usual. Unlike the natural rhythm of muscle contraction, once or twice per second, Power Plate causes automatic reflex muscle contraction between 30 and 50 times per second.
Vibrations force the body to work harder to maintain equilibrium and stability on the platform, so over time, the muscles of the back, abdomen and pelvis become stronger and the body firmer.
Ten minutes of Power Plate give the same results as a 60-minute cardio workout. It is enough to use the device three times a week for 15 minutes to experience a noticeable reduction in excess weight.
